Cannot Install CB 1.4 on joomla 1.5.23

When Installing Com_comprofiler it says it was impossible to find installation package, I've joomla 1.5.23, can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong? CB 1.4 doesn't work for joomla 1.5? can I make some kind of manual installation?...

hope to find some answers here, thanks in advance!

Unsip the package first and install the component.


OF COURSE CB works with Joomla 1.5.23 it even works with Mamboo, Joomla 1x and Joomla 1.6

I obviously unzipped the file but when I tried to install the component shows the error I wrote before

I had the same problem..so Unzip the file to a folder on your hd and upload the folder to the directory mentioned in the installation manual.pdf (included in the zipfile).
Then open joomla installer and you'll see that the folder is mentioned (underneath file upload). Make sure that the path is correct as joomla probably shows ....joomla\temp and you have by uploading created a new folder in the joomla\administrator\component or similar, so you need to change the path to the folder to install from! Once that is done correctly joomla will install correctly. You can install the other files perfectly using the upload and install option. And follow the manual from there.
