Registration fails for required Select Box field

Registration fails for required Select Box and Multi Checkbox field even though the correct data is selected. It does so Un-gracefully - after submitting - with complete form wipe.
Registration completes if required is un-selected.

Validation works on all other required field types.

Although I am using Profile manager, I have verified that this occurs with it disabled.

CB - ver. 1.4
Joomla 1.5.22

(Currently I have all above required fields disabled for testing)

Can you verify that same thing happens with clean Joomla/CB installation without anything else installed and using default Joomla template?

I cannot.
