Combination login/registraion link--seperate pages

13 years 7 months ago - 13 years 7 months ago #165066 by harvengure
I do apologize if this has already been asked, however my searches for an answer have turned of nothing. At least nothing that helps with this problem.

What I am hoping to do is build a a separate page for my login and registration pages as the login module that comes with CB would, I think, get rather large once one includes login/register options for google and facebook and such. I cant seem to figure out how to make a single menu item that contains both links... "Login / Register" specifically.

Also on a somewhat related note I've been unable to find exactly what I need to edit in the files to change the 'Forgot login?" text.

You can create a new menu item of Community Builder Login Type

Thank you for your answer though I seem to have not made myself clear. The separate pages for my login and register seems easy enough. However I want both links on the same line in a vertical menu. A single menu item, as I said before, that has one link and then the other... "Login / Register"

This will ideally change to Logout for any registered users but one thing at a time.

@harvengure

Have you tried in the CB login module (mod_cblogin) to change the Module orientation from vertical to horizontal?

@tinetto
Hi there, you have mentioned to translate language file
/components/com_comprofiler/plugin/language/default_language/default_language.php
How does that work if I have multilingual site? For example I want the login module show one language text for site language 1 and when selected the other language show the other language text, of course. :0) How to accomplish that once, Joomfish doesn't translate it in the login module and CB doesn't seem to have .ini translation files for each language, does it?
