Disable the Standard Joomla Login Module help

13 years 7 months ago #165574 by hopeful2007
I am rebuilding my site from scratch and so when I installed Joomla 1.5.23 I told it to do so with NO sample data and so it is bare bones indeed. I remember this step very clearly in my last install, however I never saw the issue below marked with the <--

The instructions in the HOW to provided with CB1.4 says to Disable the Standard Joomla/Mambo Login Module. To do that, go to the
administration backend then:

- in Joomla 1.5 go to Extensions->modules then click on the green
"Enabled" checkmark of "Login form" (mod_login) so that it becomes
a red cross <-- I do not have one on the site tab for modules, however if I click on the Administrator tab for modules I do see it. But when I looked at the parameters for it, I saw this -->

Details
Module Type: mod_login
Title:
Show Title: N/A
Enabled: No Yes
Position:
Order:
Access Level: Administrator ****
ID: 2
Description: This Module displays a Username and Password Login form. It cannot be disabled. <-- If I disable this, will I still be able to get into my web site back end??
