Why Can't Users Edit Their Own Profile?

I'm on CB 1.3.1 and Joomla 1.5.22 and I thought I saw on previous CB versions that registered users could edit their own profile. Didn't give it a second thought until recently. I've searched high and low but either I'm blind or they have removed that function. Users have to have control over their profile information.
I would expect to see the tab 'Edit Profile' within CB User Profile viewed by reg. users only.
Is this a function I now have to actually purchase?
If not, please tell me what I've done wrong so I can turn this function on.

Okay, I found my own solution.
I created a New Main Menu Item by adding "User Profile Edit" from the CB list of menu items and used User Profile as the Parent Item. I ignored what CB says "This is an optional menu item but not normally needed...." and installed it anyway.
Works like a charm.
