Greetings oh favored coders!
I've seen many threads on the forums about moving users with many different configurations so I thought I would post my own question to avoid confusion.
I'm going to create a whole new site for my Joomla 1.6 instead of trying to update my old 1.5. This just seemed easier because I want to clear out all the old junk and start off fresh. My site is very specialized so I only have about 1,200 users and they are willing for me to have the site down a day or two when I move over.
I currently have:
Joomla 1.5.23
PHP 5.2.17
MySQL 5.1.56
CB 1.2.3
AEC for subscriptions
I'm building the new site with:
Joomla 1.6.3
PHP 5.2.17
MySQL 5.1.56
CB 1.4
Will purchase CBSubs
My main questions are:
1. I'm moving from AEC to CBSubs. Should I install CBSubs before or after I migrate my users to the new site?
2. Any tool you know of to migrate subscriptions from AEC? Sorry, I know that was a dumb question. LOL
3. What's the easiest way to get all my users to the new 1.6 site? CBJUICE?
