Superuser Access to Lists

I've set up a list with access restricted to an access level defined in Joomla, (currently 1.6.6). When I, as the Superuser, login from the front end and attempt to access the list from a menu link, I get a You are not authorized to view this page! message.
Have I made a mistake, (most likely), or is this a CB or Joomla problem?

Access by the members with the appropriate access level is fine.

Sorry, CB version 1.4, I tried to upgrade to 1.7 but Joomla is giving me an XML error. I'm waiting to sort out that problem then try to upgrade 1.7.

I can confirm this with CB 1.7 and J1.7. I have a public CM Profile item, a list set to registered, all tabs set to public, the list menu item set to Registered-level, access in the list itself is set to registered-level, and my super user gets that error message. I can log in as a non-Super and see the list, but not when logged in as Super User.

Does the superuser you are testing with also belong to another group?
