We're in the process of building a membership site for a client who wishes to administer the people who join his site, and to have the power to approve or deny membership following their registration. He's after an automated system that will generate an email to the user after he approves or denies their membership.
FULL CRITERIA
- User submits “join up” form. This will then create a new registration that is sitting in the back end but not enabled.
- An email will be sent to the user stating they are under application. An email will also be sent to the admin showing details of the new registrant and a link to activate the user.
- The administrator will look over application. If approved they will click the activation link which will in turn activate the user in the back end and notify the user of success by way of return email. This should also fire off the details to our member guest list management company.
OR
- They will deny the user by clicking another link in the email that was automatically sent to them, this will send an email to the user to notify them of denial and it will either delete the user account from Joomla, or simply leave the account disabled.
A friend of ours has recommended OSE Membership, and we'd like to know if the above functionality is attainable before we purchase the product.
Anyone have any thoughts on this?
