Birthday field Dropdown & Calender missing ...

I have the following problem:

If I am creating with CB (1.7) and Joomla 1.7 a field "birthday" and select in the display date format with "drop down" and "calendar", it's just working fine in the backend:

However, at the front end appears only a simple text box, no drop down, no calendar:

What am I doing wrong?

ich habe folgendes Problem:

Wenn ich im CB (1.7) mit Joomla 1.7 ein Feld erstelle "Geburtstag" und in der Darstellung Datumsformat Dropdown & Kalender auswähle, klappt im Backend alles wunderbar, siehe Bild:

Im Frontend dagegen erscheint nur ein reines Textfeld, ohne Dropdown, ohne Kalender:

Was mache ich falsch?

Some javascript error on frontend is breaking your page.

inspect with firefox error console to see what it is.

If you can replicate on a clean CB 1.7 / Joomla 1.7 environment with nothing else installed then we can investigate.

The error console was a good idea so I could find the error & locate the problem in a google translation module - it's no good idea to place it together on the same page with the registration form ...
