Recently my hosting just updated their php ver to 5.3 and I think the error is due to the upgrade they made and I was having an error

I've haven't found any solution in the internet and google everywhere but nothing seems to fit my case... by the way I'm still using the older version 1.2 stable since I only have minor problem so far. Is there any work around for it without upgrading to the latest version?
