Sorry, I should have given more information. We're a small non-profit organization. Sometimes we make trips with small groups. So selling that tickets upfront is a good idea, some people not coming at the trip day being costly. So we'll sell numbers not even tickets. So there is no posting, just emailing the member telling them we got the money and what their number is.

CBSubs can certainly handle this.
Each trip can be a subscription plan.

As the use case appears simple enough you can probably find lots of solutions.

Don't get me wrong Nick, I respect your work and highly useful solutions for your customers. But I think CBSubs is a little bit out of our league. I tried Virtuemart, it's not a bad solution but I don't know why it causes members to create new accounts.

As I said, you have a simple use case so there are many possible solutions.

Virtumart is most likely one of them.
