Same versions and I wasn't getting any types of menuid association. For instance, on my main menu, I'd click an External URL link to a CB list and none of my a:active's would trigger for my menu. I'm not using breadcrumbs, so the user would have no notification of where they were on the site. I didn't see on the menu item edit screen where you could put an ItemID, but the appending would be a good idea.

I know when CB figures this out, they'll just do the SQL "&listid=#" appending anyway like how it used to be, so I'll just keep it that way.

From what I've read on the forums and bug tracker, it seems like the workarounds detailed here are the only solution until CB 2.0 drops.

So here is a quick thank you for providing the guide to band-aid the issue. Certainly been an interesting day, a lot of manual things to migrate CB 1.4 and J 1.5 to CB and Joomla 1.7.. only to find the lack of menu parameters. I was glad I found this quickly.

It's a pity but the URL method doesn't work and the SQL method either.

Any other suggestion for this problem?

regards,

derk

SQL method absolutely does work; I'm still using it on my site. You just have to make the menu item into a "Community Builder -> User Lists" type and go into phpMyAdmin and edit the menu link by sticking "&listid=#" on the end so it looks like "index.php?option=com_comprofiler&task=userslist&listid=4" for instance. They need to go ahead and patch this in already as it is a pretty basic, fundamental use of CB.

Yes, the phpmyadmin solution is the only good one. No patch is coming only the future 2.0 version solve the pb.
