profile field editable by admin

is their a way to have profile fields editable by administrators only?

All readonly profile fields can be edited from backend.

Two solutions:

1. place the field (not read only) in a tab that is published for Admin. This way all fields on this tab can be seen by admins and above and edited by CB moderators in frontend. However if the user is to see this then you need to create a delimiter field and use CB field substitution (e.g., [cb_fieldname]) to show it.

2. You can use CBSubs field protection to create such protected field that moderators can change. You might also need a delimiter field here too.
