Not able to send email :(

hi,
i am not able to send emails...
when i send email it gives me error like :Your email failed to send! Please try again.
i have tried every possible move but not able to resolve this issue

P.S my site is running on localhost

My Global settings are :


Mail Settings

* Mailer * SMTP
* From email xyz@xyz.com
* From Name xyz
* Sendmail Path /usr/sbin/sendmail
* SMTP Authentication tried both
* SMTP Security tried all 3
* SMTP Port * 25
* SMTP Username xyz
* SMTP Password xyz***
* SMTP Host se-smtp.xyz.se

Please tell me where i am lacking... and what else i need to do??

No its not working even..
it says "SMTP Error! Could not connect to SMTP host."

So its not a CB issue - you need to get Joomla email working first.

We are having this problem too. We can send from Joomla Mass Mail, Friend request,
Password Requests, and cb mass mailer, but message send email brings up the error

I have set up smtp with a valid account that sends all the other emails and have set the option Admin "Reply To" User but to no avail and tried user but no still no luck

We are on Joomla 1.7 cb 1.7.1

Because all the emails seem to be working I'm sure it is something simple but the error is not guiding me anywhere

could this be the Reply to field and if so Ho can I remove this and include the users email address in the body of the email

Not the same problem as previous user.
