Password for registration was created by athy92000
Hi all

Im looking for a way to password protect the registration process. In other words I want to distribute a password manually which will allow people access the registration page. Any suggestions?

Thanks

Steve

You can create a field and set it up to validate against a specific regular expression.

Welcome to the power of CB !!!

When you create or edit a CB text field you will see an extra set of parameters in right hand column area.

The framed area is titled: Field entry validation

You can select:

Custom PERL regular expression

and complete the

Perl Regular Expression box with: /mysecret/

This means that this field must be populated with mysecret (you can change this to your liking).

Thannks Nick (not sure where I got Matt from)

CB looks like the real deal alright! That works a treat, 2 quick questions.

I have added a password code for registration, however I want to remove the verify password code for registration?

Also I want to re-order the fileds. It lets me move the fileds up one or down one but I want to totally reorganise them.

Thanks again

Steve

The verify password field is built-in.

Sorry you cannot remove it without hacking the code - something I cannot help you with.

You can configure CB to generate a password for your new users (will be sent via email).

Reordering of registration fields is done by reordering their position (if they are on the same tab) in CB Field manager.

I don't want to sound like a salesman, but you would benefit a great deal from Advanced or Professional membership at this point as both include the CB documentation and much better support.
