Not sending 'lost password' retrieval email

One of my members has emailed me saying she has forgotten her password, used the 'forgot login' function, but has not yet received an email with her password (she did it over 24 hours ago). I just tested this with another username, and the password didn't come through.

I am still using Community Builder 1.7 - could this be the reason?

Please do a test with your own account and verify that you get the email message first.

Then make sure emailing works on your site (test with Joomla mass email).

Yes upgrading might help.

I have just upgraded to 1.8, and also tested the 'lost password' functionaility - and haven't received an email through with the password.

Still doesn't seem to work...
