Avatar Description - Bug?

So I've got a weird one here.

I edited the description on the stock avatar (_UE_IMAGE) field to say: "All portrait images must be approved by an administrator."

I then decided to make a delimiter filed with that message so that I could display the message on the edit side only and not the public side.

So, I deleted the message in the description, but the message still appears on the public and edit side of the site.

Am I missing something?

sorry to waste everyone's time. nobody read this. the note was on the portrait tab, and not the field.
