CB Work Flows Constant _UE_REG_REJECT_SUB

I just updated from CB 1.2.1 to 1.8. Everything nicely green, CB database checked
But when starting to test on the livesite the workflows module gives me a strange message:

I looked if I had to update a language plugin for german, but couldn't find one for 1.8. and as I want to migrate my Joomla to 2.5 it doesn't make sense to use the 1.7 german langauge files (if the problem is connected to this).

Any ideas how I can solve the problem?

After I changed template "just to see" CB Workflows was shown without problems, so I guess it was that my template (J 1.0. Version) created the problem.
