Issues with CB 1.8.1 Install

I've upgraded Joomla to 2.5.6 and seem to have upgraded CB to 1.8.1 fine. However, when I go to the main CB page, I see the following:

1.8.1 CB 1.8.1 is a highly recommended free upgrade for all Joomla 1.x and 2.5 versions (and is needed for Joomla 2.5.5 and 2.5.6) available on Joomlapolis.com and for Joomla 2.5 also from Extensions Manager menu - Updates tab (purge cache and Find Updates first)

I check the Tools and everything in the database seem to be fine. I purge all cache and still the same. Is this a bug or is there a reason why it appears to be ignoring the update? Thanks.

It means you did not upgrade to CB 1.8.1.

I installed all parts of CB 1.8.1 multiple times. Any idea why it would not upgrade even though I installed every module and component through the Extention manager?

I received no errors. Everything appears to upload fine from the Extention Manager. After uploading the com_comprofiler and all I get the success message as expected. Same for all other packages. I then use the tools to check the database and all appears green and ok. But then the main CB page looks as if I did nothing. I want to ignore it, but the red letter flashing and warning me to upgrade despite following all the steps concerns me. Could it be a permissions thing?

are you sure you downloaded the CB 1.8.1 package?

sorry - i have never heard of such an issue.
