CBcontact plugin - ERROR: Could not find a CB XML

Hello,

I am trying to install the CBcontact plugin within a fresh installation of CB1.8.1 (a development site still on my localhost running Joomla 2.5.1) and am getting the following error messages:

"ERROR: Could not find a CB XML setup file in the package."

"Installation file not found:
C:\wamp\www\my-website-name.org\tmp\install_5030c27da62cd\com_cbcontact\"

I downloaded the package "cbcontact_1_1_0-unzip1st" and unzipped it and then tried installing com_cbcontact.zip from within the CB Plugin Management area.

The xml file exists but is not being found for some reason.

The cbcontact_1_1_0-unzip1st.zip archive also contains another zip file: "._com_cbcontact.zip" - attempting to install that via the CB Plugin Manager results in the error: Unrecoverable error "PCLZIP_ERR_BAD_FORMAT (-10)"

Can anyone help?

the cbcontact component will not work on latest joomla version and btw its a joomla component and needs to be installed using joomle installer and not cb plugin installer.
