I had to migrate a CB 1.02 site (under J!1.0) to CB 1.9 (under J!3.0).
That's more than 5 years of history.
So I thought it would last hours : it was done in minutes.
Here are the steps I followed, in case it may help some one
(I won't discuss here migration of Joomla, only the CB part) :
- On a new Joomla 3 installation, with no CB, I added directly the old comprofiler tables in the new database
- Then I installed CB Comprofiler (with no add-ons/plugins) and, as stated in the manual, Saved the CB Configuration and added a public User Profile menu item
- I copied the images/comprofiler subdirectory from the old site to the new one
- I adjusted the Super User id that was different in that ancient time
That's all! I found everything : Complete Profiles and Lists. They were all there.
Of course, it is useful to run afterward, as usual, the Tools.
