I am looking for a way to have different users automatically be in different user groups (i.e. super-admin, author, etc) based on their email domain (i.e.hotmail.com, gmail.com, etc)at registration time. Is there a way to do this easily?

You can do this with the CB Auto Actions plugin that is available to Professional members.
I would like to alter the registration as well. Maybe a set of radio boxes
Are you a student yes or no
If yes is checked unhide another select menu.
