perhaps we are not asking the right question gypsy kitchen ...
or not enough details?
we have 4 Joomla 3.0.3 sites now all with the same log in issues.
i am starting from scratch with a new install ... will use the "CB Quickstart PRO 1.5 package" this time and leave K2 out for now.

we seem to have found how to fix this ;

CB config > integrations > set "Enable anti-spoofing sessions checks" to "No"

seems to have fixed our prob with K2 still installed.
