(sorry, I didnot understand that in your previous post you just meant that I should add the port at the end of the SMTP host)
As a result, Joomla mass mailing is still working,
but the CB one is still not working :S

If you turn on Joomla debug to maximum level do you see any messages when trying to send CB email?

I have turned Joomla debug to maximum level (ie Server Settings -> Error Reporting =
Maximum) and tried the CB mass mailing : alas, not more information

Send me a PM with superadmin access credentials and I will take a look when I have a chance.

Got credentials - thx.

I did a test mass mail from your Joomla mass mailer and the mail did get through, but from the headers it looks like it is not using SMTP.

So it looks like your SMTP settings are not working and Joomla in fact instead of failing (like CB does) has most likely implemented a phpmailer fallback.

Your SMTP settings are most likely failing because you do not have an SMTP user and password set in your Joomla settings (these are required).

You options are:

1. figure out with your host why the smtp settings are failing
2. configure Joomla to use php mailer (as it is currently falling back to it anyway).

addition:

Beat investigated and Joomla is in fact falling back to php mailer

github.com/joomla/joomla-cms/blob/staging/libraries/joomla/mail/mail.php#L441

FYI: SMTP falls SILENTLY back to PHPmailer if one of the above settings are missing.

I just tested on your site and I was able to send you an email to use admin email.

I have no idea how you tested, but it works for me on your site.
