Radio button option values

I would like to use a radio button field to give users an option, but I need to display text different from what is entered in the field.

For example:
Value=Displayed Option
1001R=Red
1001B=Blue
1001G=Green
1001Y=Yellow

The users will see the colors, but the alphanumeric code is what will be entered in the field.

Is this possible and if so how?

It is possible with CB 2.0 which has just been released last week.
