not receiving admin emails was created by tc-tony
Joomla: 2.5.14
CB: 2.0.1

Hello!

Before updating to 2.0.1, I used to get an email each time a new user successfully confirmed their email.

Since the upgrade, I'm not getting those emails. I have checked every area of the configuration, but I do not see an input box to enter the admin email address.

Is there a way to get email again?

Thanks!

I cannot confirm this with the latest CB 2.0.3.
Emailing works just fine.

Please check out our CB 2.0 Getting started articles here:

as you might have just mis-configured something.

I updated from 2.0.1 to 2.0.3.

I'm still not receiving emails when a user successfully creates an account and verifies it.

I even went to
User > User Manager > Options

Notification Mail to Administrators = Yes

With this option turned on, does anyone know which administrator email it's grabbing?

My Superuser account has Receive Moderator Emails = Yes

In Community Builder's configuration tabs, there seems to be no indication for admins to receive email except to approve actions. There's also no option to specify an admin email address here.

Thanks!

I suspect you are just misinterpreting functionality.

If you have your Community Builder -> Configuration -> Registration tab -> Admin Approval set to No, then all your CB Moderators (the ones that have their Receive Moderator Emails = Yes, will get email notifications of new users.

If the Admin Approval parameter is set to Yes, then these CB Moderators will get Action Required email messages when a new user submits the registration form (and confirms email is this was configured).

Such notification emails should trigger your moderation team to login and process the request using the CB Workflow module.

No further email is sent to moderators in this case - seems redundant as they already got the pending notice. This is how the system was/is designed to work.

Hi!

Thanks for responding.

"If you have your Community Builder -> Configuration -> Registration tab -> Admin Approval set to No, then all your CB Moderators (the ones that have their Receive Moderator Emails = Yes, will get email notifications of new users."

I have:
Community Builder > Configuration > Registration > Admin Approval = No
Users > User Manager > Options > New User Account Activation = Self
Users > User Manager > Options > Notification Email To Administrator = Yes
Users > User Manager > [my account] > Receive System emails = Yes

Perhaps the problem is that Community Builder doesn't know I'm a moderator?

I checked:
Community Builder > Configuration > Moderation> Moderators View Access Level = CB Moderators access

My CB user account is part of that group.

Where can I check the list of CB Moderators?

Thank you.
