Failed modifying profile images

Hi,

Enclosed is a part of what is pretty much the standard "Members List" in the CB 2.x download. (I just removed the user name and added another image.)
The images both appear cropped. I tried modifying "image sizes" in CB (2.x) and Joomla (3.4) in various places, but have not been able to change the appearance of the attached two leftmost images. They both appear cropped. (The leftmost is the standard Avatar image and should display like the rightmost image (but here the top is missing), the middle image is a user uploaded image that was supposed to appear in the same size as the avatar). What am I missing?

No idea what exact version you are using.

Please download and study the also free CB Primer book as it have some relevant info on images.

I have downloaded and read the CB primer book. And I have read it cover to cover. But maybe, as I said, I have indeed missed some important info. The CB version is 2.0.7 (Joomla 3.4.1)

So since you read everything.

How have you configured your avatar fields regarding resizing/cropping?

My CB Configuration Settings for images are

Default Maximum Image Height = 600
Default Maximum Image Width = 400
Default Maximum Image Filesize = 2000
Default Maximum Thumbnail Height= 90
Default Maximum Thumbnail Width = 60
Keep proportions = Yes

They are not overridden by the Avatar or "2nd Avatar" field settings (they use CB defaults).
The uploaded images appear as expected, rescaled to fit inside these numbers, but keeping proportions. Just as expected.

The Avatar on the Login PlugIn appears as expected.
Yet, both images appear cropped (in different ways) on the "Members List".
Both the Members List images, and the Login image are shown in my attachment.
And my question was, why is that, and where can I correct it?

If there is anything more you need to know to be able to point me in the right direction, please do not hesitate to ask.
