Lost terms and conditions - cannot publish field acceptedterms

I upgraded from Joomla 1.5 and CB 1.9.1 to latest versions of both. Now CB does not have terms and conditions as part of Registration Configuration but as a new field acceptedterms. However this is Unpublished and I am not able to publish it: it is read-only with a message "System fields publish state cannot be changed". How can I resurrect my terms and conditions on the registration form?

Ok, I tried the obvious and just updated its published status directly in the database and all seems fine!
