Use email more than once

I use CB for club membership registration. There is a membership for a family as well. But when the children's names are entered for registration they need a email address (and the children do not have email addresses)
When a parent register his name and uses his email, how can he register the child with the same email address?

Joomla requires that each user has a unique email and a unique username.
There is no out of the box solution.

I wrote an article some years ago about a clean solution:

well the email server needs to support this - gmail does.

Thanks again - I'll don't think my 'members' all use gmail accounts.

I've installed it, and it works - just holding thumbs it will not break anything else further down the line :-0
