Installation problem : JInstaller: :Install: Can't find XML setup file. was created by imen127
Hello,
I’m trying to install Community Builder 2.9.3+build.2025.01.14.17.33.09.26db43df7 on Joomla 4.4.9, but I keep getting this error:
JInstaller: :Install: Can't find XML setup file.

How are you trying to install it? From Joomla's install from web or directly downloaded from our download page below?

I am trying to install it  from the Joomla administration area- Extensions- Extension Manager as described in cb200-Primer_1.0.9. I am downloading it from the page below joomlapolis.com/downloads

Strange, retested on Joomla 3, 4, and 5 and appears to be installing fine. Are you having any issues installing any other extensions or just CB?

I only tried installing cb . Could you advise how you install it, using extension manager?

If you've Joomla's Install from Web enabled you can search for Community Builder and try installing it from there. Aside from that I'm unsure why it won't install as it works fine in our testing. Try installing another extension and see if it also fails as it might be something either wrong your your Joomla install or server configuration.

As a last resort test you can download latest CB from our downloads page below. Unzip it manually then install the zip in the /extensions/packages folder to bypass our package installer.
