My Joomla 3.5.1 website (CB 2.0.14) default language is English and it uses a UTF-8_general_ci collation. As an international membership organization, we would like our members to add a single "profile" field on registration in their own language and character set.

We do have the Google Translate module installed but it is not always as precise as when a native speaker completes the field directly.

Is there a simple way to do this? I just tried to paste some Cyrillic text into the field and it was all converted to question marks.

Thanks

I have tested in my end with an Arabic word and works fine.
From System information be sure of your db encoding.

yup - I am betting that some table of column is not utf8 encoding.
