google map mashup...

I checked again. I must say the geo community component is much easier to install: just a bot and a component. When you have a look to google map you have to do a lot extra and (e.g. geocoder plugin, programming in the index file etcetera).
I'm very enthousasic about the collaboration of geo community component and CB.

I've released a Goggle Map Masup called Joogle that does just what you're asking and that you can download fromt he 3pd download area. It's super simple and installs as a com.

i'm haveing a hell of a time installing it. all sorts of sql errors. wont create the tables or anything. got any docs onit?

Looks like you already had a field called 'lat' somewhere in your Community Builder installation. It may be that you had a go with another geocoder component beforehand, uninstalled it, but it left the fields it creates in your database's jos_comprofiler table.

So you might need to drop those fields the old component installed with phpMyAdmin before trying to install Joogle.

I was really interested in installing this one.

Too bad you didn't take into account that not everybody uses "jos_" as DB prefix. Some of us have migrated from Mambo to Joomla and for those people, the installer will not work because their DB prefix will still be "mos_".

Please fix this as soon as possible.
