How to archive registers keeping users active?

Hi, we are using CB in a site for finding missing people

People looking for someone will register in the site and will have a tab to fill with the info of the -Missing Person-

The others users can collaborate sending them info with the uddeim messages plugin, joomlaboard etc

when a person is found we need to archive the case so it's not public anymore. Neither display this when using the CBsearch feature

By the way we need to keep the user account active so the user can keep using the site, forums, uddeim etc

any ideas on how to implement this? do we need aditional coding?

would it work to create a new checkbox field in CB to indicate whether the profile is Active or Inactive? You could then add a filter to your members list in CB so it only shows Active profiles.
