dynamic fields with custom JavaScript/PHP code

It would be nice to have a field type in the field manager which allows to add custom JavaScript/PHP code. This would for example allow to populate a select list dynamically based on the value entered in the previous field.

has anyone a solution? Then I'm searching for a dynamic/related drop-down since a long time...
Hope someone can answer this, because there are a lot of other users who could need this.
