How to show tab only when necessary?

Is there a possibility to show a Plugin-tab only when it's necessary, as it is done with the custom tabs added by hand?
E.g. the 2 plugins I wrote (jAwards-Tab, and PonyTab) show up all the time. I'd like to hide those if the user has no awards or no images published.

So.... (since only views, and no reply came), I guess it's not possible currently?

Can this feature be part of some future release of Community Builder?

Sure its possible.
Just evaluate the criteria and return nothing in the getdisplaytab function.

This can be programmed on a plugin basis.
I have added this feature to my (Nant's) Gallery plugin (currently in testing). I have a backend parameter option to allow only connected users to see other's gallery.
