Community Builder 2.0 Next Generaton announcment

Hi

good to see that version 2 is out soon...


But will it tackle nested nested nested tabs?

Reason is that I want to build a site for my clan/guild.

And it is going to have to have more than the current 2 levels that is supported in the current release of community builder.

I've had to start look at other alternatives, but if this can be supported, great since community builder is a great product and I would liek to use it....

Yes, Flex, Funlite, etc.. is what I am referring to. We have no other templates other than those. CB it self has its own templates, which I have completely rewritten. CB also now comes with an upgraded CB Bootstrap as its default profile template.

Currently the nesting is only 1 depth, but you can specifically select what tabs should become nested now.

So I take it you can create 4 custom tabs and do the following

=2
3
=4

Be better if you can do more...asap....maybe a feature for version 2 since it has been requested for years

No, nested tabs are still under the Profile tab, but you now have more control of what gets nested. The nesting is also position based. So if you use 2 different tab positions then have nesting in both you'll have 2 separate tab nests.

This is not going to improve with later releases. We are actually going to phase out tabs entirely for just fields and Field Containers will become the new tab usage with significantly more customization, but that probably won't happen to a much later release of 2.x or even 3.x release.

Great to hear! I didn't know those templates came as part of the CBP package. How Can I get them? I don't see a down load link, only links for the individual purchases

Sorry for the confusion. Have confirmed from Nick that Developers have access to Templates and all other products. Professional members have to subscribe/purchase them separately.
