Not sure if anyone can help. We are occasionally getting users registering on our site which has registration turned off.

We are using CB as the user manager and have no registration forms on the site.

We just delete them when we get the message ACTION REQUIRED! New user sign up request pending approval but why are they getting onto the site in the first place.

Regards, Chris.

Where did you turn off registration? Ensure it has been turned off within CB > Configuration > Registration. Additionally you may want to do the same for Joomla it self within Users > Manage > Options. If you've CB Connect installed, published, and configured it will bypass the registration parameter and still register users from providers you've configured (e.g. Facebook).

There is no option within CB Registration to turn it off! There is only an option for "Yes, independent of CMS 'Allow Registration'" There is no option for "Don't allow Registration"

Have I missed something

It needs to be set to "Same as CMS "allow registration"" then you need to turn off Joomla registration within User > Manage > Options. If you have it set to "Yes, Independent of CMS "allow registration"" then registration is enabled.
