Joomla's extension update has pretty heavy caching. Try going to CB > Plugin Management > Install Plugin > Install From Web to use CBs built in updater, which has less aggressive caching. You can also try refreshing Joomla's by clicking the "Check For Updates" button. However if you're using a build release of CB then Joomla's update checker won't work with build releases and you'll need to use CBs.
