Yearly subscription + Signup Fee

I have a client who has a yearly subscription or membership into a group. However new people into the group must pay a one time registration fee. Their renewal after one year does not include the registration fee, but only the yearly membership fee.

Is this possible?

Yes.

You can set the first period to be X amount (including setup fee) and all following periods to be Y amount.
