User limit with CBSubs

Hi, i'm evaluating to buy CBUser and i have one question. The user limitation is only to the maintenance plan or it's also to the CBUser plugin? because right now i have a website with 400 user, but i will have about 2000 by the end of the year. Also i don't need the maintenance service. My question is if the user limit is for the database, so when i get to 500 user, the plugin won't work or it won't be possible to register a new user, or is only related to the maintenance.

The lifetime license fee is based off the user count.

If you plan on having 2000 users by end of year, then you should either purchase the appropriate license now or upgrade to it later.

The maintenance package is included for the first year regardless of license. After the first year you would need to renew your maintenance agreement in order to be able to receive software upgrades. If you do not renew, then your license is still valid of course but it will not work with newer releases of software.
