Social Networking Possibilities.

I'm wanting to use CB/CBSubs for social networking sites. CB is by far the most superior and flexible extension available for profiles but I also need additional features and I'd like to know if they are available or will be available in the future (and a rough time frame).

These features are:

1.) A customizable advanced search module for members to use to locate other members based on specified criteria such as age, location, a specific interest, et cetera

2.) Activity feed for profile updates. (I think it was said it is coming in 2.0? But when is 2.0 due?)

3.) The use of a 'Wall' type system and status updates. Simular to what facebook does where you post a status update on your 'Wall' and others can comment on it and leave public comments.

Thank you for your time. I was a doc subscriber and dedicated user of CB for a long time and then was beaten with a stupid stick and wanted to test some other components out that all failed miserably to compare with the awesomeness CB offers. I'm looking forward to jumping in with CBSubs!

Doable by way of CB User Lists, but NOT in a module based form. You'd need to develop that your self.

Doable by way of document subscriber CB ProfileBook plugin which provides a Wall, Blog, and Guesbook tab. Wall is similar to that (designed after) Facebooks usage (no ajax!). For provide status you can provide users with the document subscriber ajax textfield fieldtype plugin as well.

Actually activity plugin is currently being developed and will certainly be part of CB 2.0.
