The date that is relevant is the purchase date. So adding +1 year to the maintenance for total of 2 years would in your case make the versions maintenance covered until march of 2 years after the year of the original purchase.
Renewal date doesn't matter here to the new maintenance date. But the special Cyber Monday week price will be over tomorrow evening.
