ACL presale questions was created by Imogenus
just have some questions, a few may be covered in the features list but I just wanted some clarification.
1. Can users have multiple subscriptions where each subscription allows access to different parts of the site, such as a subscription area access, and a short term subscription for a online course?

2. Does payment work for added subscriptions ie two simultaneous subscriptions with different payment requirements, and how is this handled on the frontend? How do users purchase additional subscriptions?

3. Can subscriptions with a single payment be added or are they all recurring? Can I set the term of a subscription ie. two days for a weekend seminar, with auto-cancelation after the set time?

4.Can we sell physical objects through the payment gateway or do we need a separate shopping cart?

5. Do you provide, and how do you handle purchase of down-loadable content?

6. Do you have plans to integrate GoogleCheckout as a payment gateway?

7. Especially with a merchant account/direct card payment through our site how is security handled? Is anything saved within our database or payment system?

8. Is there a Demo of the backend system that can be used for practice?

9. Is there a downloadable Demo to test for integration or do we have to purchase to try it?

Yes. You can mark plans as not mutually exclusive meaning that they can be subscribed to in parallel of each other.

2. Does payment work for added subscriptions ie two simultaneous subscriptions with different payment requirements, and how is this handled on the frontend? How do users purchase additional subscriptions?

Yes it does - assuming you have a user subscribe to Plan-A/20$ per month for access to section A and plan-B/40$ per quarter for access to section B, then initial payment will be the some of these amounts, then he would have to pay 20$ each following month for plan-A and $40 each quarter for plan-B.

3. Can subscriptions with a single payment be added or are they all recurring? Can I set the term of a subscription ie. two days for a weekend seminar, with auto-cancelation after the set time?

CBSubs supports merchandise sales (single items with no subscription), but depending on your use case you might want to use virtumart. We use merchandise concept to sell templates on this site.

5. Do you provide, and how do you handle purchase of down-loadable content?

Yes, usually with the assistance of a download extension (like docman). CBSubs has a docman integration plugin included in the distribution package and a use case in the manual explaining such a case.

6. Do you have plans to integrate GoogleCheckout as a payment gateway?

No decision exists for this - so it will not happen soon unless someone sponsors it.

7. Especially with a merchant account/direct card payment through our site how is security handled? Is anything saved within our database or payment system?

Eveything is PCI compliant.

8. Is there a Demo of the backend system that can be used for practice?

No, but we have a 30-day money back no questions asked period - so you can try it risk-free.

9. Is there a downloadable Demo to test for integration or do we have to purchase to try it?

See previous answer.
