Storing CreditCard Info for Multiple Transactions

Hi,

I am considering using CB Subs not for subscriptions but for individual content-unlock purchase transactions on my website.

I need to know if I can let my users enter their credit card once into their profiles and then for any transaction just click "yes bill my CC" instead of entering in their credit card information over and over every time they make an individual transaction.

iTunes and Amazon do this well.

Can I do this with CB Subs?

CBSubs does not store any credit card information. All transactions are handled by the payment processes. If a user subscribes via a recurring subscription then this too is handled by the processor (Paypal would require the user to have an account). CBSubs has no "wallet" like feature as it's not necessary given we use payment gateways.

Additionally, when storing Credit Card information, your server and company must be PCI-DSS compliant and have passed an audit corresponding to the number of transactions made.

That's why some payment services providers do provide aliases, avoiding you to go through PCI-DSS certification.

Ogone does that and that feature is supported by CBSubs 1.1.2 to store aliases optionally (however the customer then must give his approval for that with an explicit checkmark).

CBSubs 1.1.2 will then at subsequent payments redirect to Ogone's payment mask, with credit card filled-in with XXX and 4 last digits, expiry date and name set, and the user only has to enter his CVC to validate subsequent sales.

It's still not the 1-click you ask, but it gets pretty near.
