How to use CB with SQL ? was created by AlPiGiNO
Hello, I have a question about CB pro.

I create a site of e-commerce for professional with Hikashop, and I use CB to manage my users. I have a list of 50 000 clients with a specific number which call it X and without email addresses. When a new client registers on my Website, he enters the specific number X on a field.

So, with this number, is it possible to ask my database of 50000 clients to check if the number exists, if the name and firstname … correspond. And if not, send to client an error?

Thank you for your answers.

Sorry I have no idea what you mean by CB Pro - perhaps you can share with us where you saw this term mentioned on this site so we can comment properly.

I am assuming since you posted in the CBSubs area you are asking about CBSubs...

I have no experience with Hikashop.

But your question has nothing to do with CBSubs.

First of all - Joomla users and this CB users need an email address.
So these 50000 clients cannot become Joomla users or CB users as they are without a unique email address.

Regarding the unique field concept, you would need to develop a new CB Field plugin to handle such a case.

There is nothing like this out of the box.

My database of 50 000 clients is without email adresse, but contains a number X, name ...
I would ask this database when a new client register in my site for check if the number X exists and if the name correspond, it's over.

And i talk about CB Solutions / Incubator.

NB : Sorry i'm french and my english is terribad

You can use incubator project CB Queries to execute database queries at various CB triggers such as after login, after registration, etc.. Not sure exactly what you're needing/wanting. Please see below incubator page for further project details.
