Possible to trigger action prior to download?

I'm very interested in using CBSubs to manage product download/subscription of digital goods.

One thing I'd like to accomplish is to insert a text file into the download package with the date of the download, effectively tagging the package at a date. Is it possible with CBSubs to call a scripted action and serve the user a unique package?
