Before I buy, can I do this...

Sorry for the questions - I searched but can't quite work out if I can do the following...

I have an existing Joomla site for which I wrote a basic component which allows my users to log sports sessions - they log each session using a fixed form/template i.e. location of the session, equipment they used (which they can adjust their personal inventory), weather conditions etc.
I would like to be able to replicate this maybe with custom fields and a blog app?
I think it would be great if each session then could appear with other entries on the event/activity wall

I'm not sure if CB is the right tool for this?

My bust suggestion would be to replicate the component logic as a CB field plugin.
I do not think you can properly do this with default field types.
