custom field question

Good morning,

I am looking to implament a user registration frontend to a docman / helpdesk back end.

what I am looking for is a custom field or a coupon field where I can have it be mandatory to the subscription and have only one correct entry. I also want this to be a 0 cost subscription. if they do not have the code there is no registration / subscription.

from there I want the subscription to enter the user into a joomla group and a docman group.

can you support this and how.

You can do this with the dblookup field - available to professional subscribers.

So I could populate a DB field with multiple codes if desired (say device serial numbers) and do a lookup. What I am looking to support is a software down load for customers who have our hardware

Say:

product1-subscription >> lookup >> product1 DB Field
product2-subscription >> lookup >> product2 DB Field

If this is the case can I get a eather demo access or a live demo of the product?

The DB Lookup field allows you to validate a field shown during registration against a database table (in Joomla database) of valid values.

If a valid value is not given the registration will be rejected.

That's how it works.
There is no demo, sorry.
