Upgrading to CB subs

Hello

We currently have a really out of date Joomla 1.5 / CB 1.7.1 site and I'd like to install a new Joomla 2.5 or 3.0 system with the latest versions of CB and CB Subs. This would be a new install, not an upgrade.

1) Would you recommend using Joomla 2.x or 3.x?
2) How would I migrate the data from CB on the old site to the new install?
3) Are there any extra server requirements ?

Any other points to consider on doing the install?

1. CB and CBSubs work on both so it depends on other extensions you need and if they are Joomla 3.0 ready.

2. You can use jupgrade to migrate your J15 site to J25/3.0 but first you need to upgrade your CB 1.7 site to CB 1.9.

2. You can also use CB juice to export CB data to a csv file and then import it on new environment.

3. Nothing other than standard Joomla requirements.
