Hello CB guys !

I'm trying to guess if CB can help me solve a problem

Visitors subscribe to my newsletters, but i dont know what they do after. If they come back, or not, contact us, request a quote...

My goal is to see what my users do after subscribing my newsletters (and when).

I'm thinking about asking visitors interested in our newsletters, to register with CB, to get more 'follow-up' data.

But, i dont want to ask my visitors to go through a long registration just to get my newsletter ! Only a simple name/email fields and that's it.

Is that possible to register with only a name and an email ?

Thanks very much for reading, and for your opinion on that :)

Joomla needs name, username, email and password.

Hello Nick,

thanks for this info. I'm looking for ways to get round this.

for example, the password could be generated and sent to the user, right ?
Is there a CB plugin for that ?

And if someone receives my newsletter and clicks on a link, this person could be logged in as soon as landing on the site, thanks to AutoLogin from www.textarea.it/joomla-free-extensions/joomla-autologin-extension.html

Yes, CB can also be configured to auto-generate a password.
You can test this with free CB.

You can also use CB Auto Actions to help you with the auto-login concept or you can also use (I guess but I have not tested) the extension you found on the JED.

However CB is not meant as a newsletter extension, so it all depends on which newsletter extension you are using and how it integrates with CB.

AcyMailing does have good integration with CB, so it might be a solution for you.
